Our Mission

To deliver trustworthy AI solutions designed to empower, not replace.

Our mission

High-stakes workflows only move to AI when business leaders, compliance teams, and regulators can rely on the output. TAU makes that possible.

TAU’s Mission and Heritage

AI is undeniably a transformative technology that will reshape business and society more broadly. The only question is the extent and timing of such transformation. AI’s impact on cognitive tasks is what sets it apart from other technological developments, because humans excel at cognitive tasks.

Yet the return on investment from early trials of AI in enterprises has been, at best, mixed. This highlights two issues: (1) there is a trust gap when it comes to deployment of AI; and (2) human endeavour has not been significantly enhanced by AI yet, beyond some efficiency and productivity gains at the margin.

This two-fold problem presents an opportunity for TAU and inspires our mission statement: To deliver trustworthy AI solutions designed to empower not replace.

Trust is central to TAU’s mission, because it unlocks adoption at the enterprise level. Empowering human workers is also critical, because there is enormous value which can be generated by enhancing and evolving workflows and processes to optimize operations across virtually all industries.

TAU’s Heritage

Since 2018, TAU has developed deep expertise deploying AI to solve real-world problems for reputable and prominent organisations, including Singapore government institutions and several companies within the Jardine Matheson group.

We’ve observed that for many enterprises, their desire to embrace AI is tempered by important concerns relating to trust: (a) can the output generated by AI be relied upon, and in particular can it be grounded in the specific requirements of the end-user? (b) is the process transparent, whereby the human end-user can verify how the AI arrived at its conclusion (a glass box, rather than a black box) (c) does the AI operate in a consistent manner, such that if the same input is provided to it 10 times, it will return the same output each and every time?

TAU has answered and addressed those questions, and this reveals an important gap in the market which we want to solve.

Operating Philosophy

How we believe AI should work

AI should amplify human judgment. Experts retain control while domain-specific systems handle repeatable, rules-based work at scale. AI is a tool made for humanity — not the other way around.
